Terms and Conditions


a) The terms and conditions below apply to all coaching and support services provided by Softskills4life to any individuals or organisations (the client) and constitute the contract for the service to be provided by Softskills4life for the client. The term 'coaching' as here used covers life coaching, personal coaching, NLP coaching for clients and where applicable includes mentoring and supervision services provided for clients.
b) Coaching is not psychological counselling or any type of therapy, and should not be construed as such.
c) In return for the fees payable by the client (or by a third party on their behalf), Softskills4life agrees to provide the service as described below and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below. The client agrees to pay fees for the service on the terms and conditions set out below (in situations where a third party pays the fees, the third party counts as an agent acting on behalf of the client).
d) The date that the first coaching session takes place shall be deemed to be the start date for the service.
Participation by any individual in the first coaching session constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Responsibility and Commitment
a) Softskills4life will seek to enable the client to set and achieve goals that will help to bring about desired outcomes for the client. The client has sole responsibility for any decisions they may make following coaching with Softskills4life. Softskills4life accepts no liability for the client’s actions. Softskills4life has no liability for any loss incurred by any client, whether financial or otherwise, following commencement of coaching sessions, or for any perceived failure by the client, whether justified or otherwise, to achieve a material improvement in quality of life or to achieve their desired outcomes or goals.
b) The client will be required to complete a ‘Self Belief” form at the commencement of coaching.

a) Personal information or business information supplied to Softskills4life by the client in coaching sessions will be treated as confidential. It will not be disclosed to a third party without the client's prior permission, save where required by law.
b) Acceptance of these terms and conditions between Softskills4life and the client will show the required confidentiality agreement at commencement of coaching. Softskills4life will respect the client’s privacy and seek written permission before disclosing they are a client.
c) Softskills4life requires that the client provide an emergency contact name and telephone number, to be used only in the event of an emergency, such as sudden illness or accident.
d) All documentation and information relating to the client will be held according to the Data Protection 1998, except as permitted by the client in writing or as required by law.
e) All documentation on this website and subsequent newsletters are copyrighted by ©Softskills4life. Any attempt to copy, share or distribute will be seen as a breach of this agreement and legal action will be taken.

Clarity and Style
a) Softskills4life will make clear with the client the preferred style of coaching. The client has the right to talk openly and candidly with their coach, and the client is encouraged to discuss any concerns they have with Softskills4life on any area of the coaching process. Softskills4life welcomes and promotes openness and honesty.
b) Feedback about the service is welcomed and can be given during a coaching session or by writing to 4 Canal walk, Ledbury Herefordshire, HR8 2ED or via email to
c) Softskills4life is continually striving to ensure the standard of service it provides to its clients remains outstanding. At the end of the coaching process, or series of coaching sessions, the client is encouraged to complete a feedback form.

Coaching Procedure
a) The coaching schedule will be arranged between Softskills4life and the client and runs for a three-month period. Softskills4life will implement the coaching via newsletters, Skype sessions (at additional costs laid out on the website) and regular video updates. This recommendation, or plan, is not binding and may be altered and adjusted throughout the coaching journey by mutual agreement, in accordance with the terms set out in this agreement.
b) The number of coaching sessions is laid out on the website between Softskills4life and the client. Full payment is due before the first session. Additional 3-month agreements and separate skype or “in person” sessions can be booked thereafter.
c) The length of each session is usually 1 hour.
d) Coaching will take place between the client and their coach face-to-face via Skype (client calls coach), or by telephone (client calls coach). If face-to-face coaching is required (at additional agreed rate) it will take place at either The Yeleni support Centre Hereford or The Bethesda Clinic Ledbury. Unless otherwise agreed, the client is responsible for telephoning Softskills4life at agreed times.
e) Softskills4life may assign the client tasks or exercises to complete between coaching sessions. There is no obligation on the client to complete these tasks, but not doing so may slow the client's progress in gaining improved quality of life or achieving desired personal outcomes.
f) The client may contact Softskills4life by phone or email between sessions to share a success or seek clarification on a coaching issue. Support between sessions is seen by Softskills4life as a necessary part of the coaching process. Softskills4life will always advise a client in advance if the nature of a client's contact is likely to incur an additional charge, and no such charges will be imposed without the client's agreement.

Payment and Cancellation of Agreement
a) Softskills4life may need to rearrange a coaching session; in these circumstances Softskills4life will use reasonable endeavours to provide a mutually satisfactory alternative appointment for the client. If the client needs to rearrange a Skype or individual session, 48 hours’ notice is required.
b) Full payment is required via Paypal through the website prior to any agreement being entered into.
c) The client may terminate their coaching contract at the end of each three-month agreement in writing. The renewal of subsequent “three month” agreements is not automatic and requires full payment on commencement.
d) In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or unavailability due to bereavement or other commitments, inappropriate behaviour by the client, actual or potential conflict of interest, or other reasons, Softskills4life can decide to terminate the service to the client early or refuse or be unable to provide further coaching sessions to the client. In such a circumstance the client will be given reasonable notice of termination by “Softskills4life” where practicable, and will be refunded any advance payments made for coaching sessions not yet provided.
e) There may be occasions when Softskills4life may recommend to the client that they seek an alternative service more suited to their current needs. In this event Softskills4life will fully discuss the reasons for the recommendation with the client. It is the client’s sole responsibility to decide whether to follow the recommendation and Softskills4life does not accept any liability for the outcome of any decisions the client choses to make.

I am committed to using your personal information in accordance with all applicable laws concerning the protection of personal information and not to do anything with your information you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

How do I obtain your personal information?
When you give it directly - You wil generally offer your information when you first subscribe to the site.

When you give permission to other parties to share it with me - Your information may be shared with me by a third party, for example, other counsellors, support workers or medical staff. These independent third parties will only do so when you have indicated that you wish them to do so.

Social Media - Depending on your settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services like Facebook, WhatsApp or Twitter, you might give me permission to access information from those accounts or services.
What information do I collect?

Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you. For example, it can include information such as your name, date of birth, email address, postal address, telephone number, credit/debit card details, as well as information relating to your health or personal circumstances.

Data protection law recognises that certain categories of personal information are more sensitive. This is known as sensitive personal information and may cover health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or other beliefs or a similar nature, political opinion and trade union membership.

I would only collect sensitive personal information where there is a clear need to do so. To enable me to help you further, especially when participating in Skype sessions.

Before collecting any sensitive personal information about you I will make it clear to you what information I am collecting and the purposes for collecting such.

How do I use your information?
How I use your information would largely depend on why you are providing it. I may use your information in the ways set out below.

I use your personal information to give you the information, support, services, or products you ask for.

I use your information to gain a full understanding of your situation, so I can develop and offer you the best possible personalised services.

I use your information to keep a record of your relationship with me and for internal administrative purposes (such as our accounting and records), and to let you know about changes to my services or policies. I use your personal information to investigate, and respond to, complaints, legal claims or other issues.

I may use personal data to carry out statistical analysis and research in order to help me to understand how I am performing and how I can improve my services and meet the needs of people that require my help.

Who do I share your information with?
I do not sell your details to any third parties.

I may share your information with the emergency services in the case of a medical emergency or if I think there is a risk of serious harm or abuse to you or someone else.

When I collect your personal information, I use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. As a result, while I try to protect your personal information, Softskills4life cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to me and you do so at your own risk.

If you’re aged 16 or under, you must get your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide any personal information on my websites.

Accessing and updating your personal information
